Mountain Artworks Studio Where Metal Art Meets West Virginia's Wild Spirit
Founded in 1996, Mountain Artworks Studio: AKA Michael "Goose" Sizemore provides beautiful metal art and custom metal sculpture. The artist's fascination with Anasazi pictographs and petroglyphs of the American Southwest is evident in all of his creative works ranging from small copper wall hangings to monumental sculptures made of various metals. The linear elements of those ancient designs as well as my love of the organic world are two major themes in all of my art. I conceptualize in dreams, engineer on paper, and produce in the welding shop.

Athens is the home of Concord University. == History == The community was named Concord; however, in 1896 another post office in Concord, Hampshire County, West Virginia was established and the town's name was changed to Athens after the Greek city and center of learning.
